Xavier Stephenson

Xavier Stephenson is a Recording and Mix Engineer currently based out of West London's Metropolis Studios, and has won Pro Sound's 'Rising Star' Award for 2013.

Having honed his skills through assisting on a diverse range of recording sessions such as Eric Clapton, The Who, Bon Jovi, Alicia Keys, U2, Elton John, Dizzee Rascal, Mark Ronson, Katherine Jenkins, Miles Kane, Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, Talib Kweli, 30 Seconds to Mars, Mika, Razorlight, Lil' Wayne, Corey Taylor and Duffy, Xavier went on to assist for double Grammy Award winning mix engineer Tom Elmhirst on projects such as James Morrison and Corinne Bailey Rae, and was the long-time assistant of three-time Grammy Award winning mix engineer Robert Orton working on projects such as Frankmusik, Darren Hayes, Nicole Scherzinger and Sting.

Xavier has gone on to engineer for artists such as One Night Only, Neyo, Parachute, Westlife, Alexandra Burke, Clock Opera and more recently credits have included Rihanna, Lana del Rey, Example, David Guetta, Rita Ora, King Charles, Editors and The Joy Formidable's recent album "Wolf's Law" for Atlantic. Experienced with a range of session types, from vocals, full-band or string tracking, he has gone on to develop a reputation as a drum recording specialist.

Xavier has also recently started to step out as a mix engineer in his own right, mixing for artists such as La Roux and UK rapper Ty.
